Question and answer

Yes! Many of our students do exactly that—juggle work and studying. We get that not everyone can commit full-time to learning, so our program is fully asynchronous. The platform is available 24/7, so you can go through lessons whenever it fits your schedule, learn at your own pace, and never have to wait for a group.

We recommend setting aside 15–20 hours per week for studying. That way, you’ll be able to complete the program on time.

Of course, this is just a rough estimate. If you already have experience as a developer or, say, a test engineer, you’ll probably need way less time than someone starting from scratch

Don’t worry—we won’t kick you out of Hexlet. You can always continue studying. Each additional month is paid separately, and you’ll keep access to your profession track and mentor support. In most cases, students need just 1–2 extra months to wrap up unfinished work

Learning something new is always a challenge. Achieving your goal requires not just motivation but months of hard work. Ask yourself honestly—are you ready to give it your all and push through even when it gets tough? If the answer is yes, then success is absolutely possible.

We know for sure that our courses are designed for beginners. Our graduates prove that you can go from zero to a full-fledged professional, land projects, and become a valuable IT specialist. And of course, we’ll be there to support you along the way

The youngest student who came to Hexlet for a profession was 15, and the oldest was 70. If you have the drive and curiosity, age doesn’t matter—just start.

If your goal is to find a job, we’re upfront about the fact that older students may need more time to get hired

We’ve done the math—74% of students who come to Hexlet to change careers and find a job achieve their goal. 65% receive an offer within their first five interviews, and 27% don’t even have to look for a job—employers find them first.

Your job search success depends on you. But graduates who complete the full program, work on projects, and participate in real commercial development have every chance of becoming in-demand developers. And we’re here to help make that happen

Great! You’ll keep access to the platform until the end of your paid period. You can continue learning—not just within your chosen course, but in any other Hexlet programs as well.

Developers often explore other programming languages—for example, if you studied Python, you might want to switch to Java. You can also try your hand at test engineering to broaden your skill set and open up more career opportunities
